If you want your pricing to improve over time, every quote should leave behind a little trail of information.
The three easiest things to track are status, total quoted value, and event type. Status tells you whether your prices are landing. Total value shows how your mix of work is shifting. Event type helps you compare weddings, birthdays, showers, and dessert tables without guessing.
Once those are in place, you can start asking better questions. Are weekend delivery orders consistently underpriced? Are sculpted cakes worth the labor? Are some customers asking for revisions that need to be priced differently next time?
You do not need a giant operations system on day one. You need clean records and a habit of reviewing them.
